CBS should be ashamed of themselves for the absurdity of their Sovereignty Movement hit piece. In their story, CBS tries to link the murder of two Arkansas police officers by Jerry Kane and Joesph Kane, to a movement of anti-government groups. How they come up with the absurd connection that people that care about sovereignty or question the government are no different than Jerry Kane and Joesph Kane is beyond insane. The actions of these two people are disturbing to say the least, but they in no way represent what the people in the sovereignty movement want. In fact you will find it is the exact opposite. The sovereignty movement is about restoring the values of self determination. It’s about being left alone and allowed to live freely. It is well known that governments think they have the right to control people by force. Governments are the ones killing tens of thousands of people every year when people don’t follow their orders. Others are put in cages or have their income extorted. That is an evil philosophy to adhere too. I believe there needs to be a dialog between the people that want freedom to control their own lives [...]

The ‘never waste a crises’ (create the crises and then try to fix it) scheme of the Obama administration is in full force, not only with the gulf oil disaster, but with the Arizona/Mexico border. Thousands of Americas have been killed in an ongoing war at the border where drug cartels are running rampant. So what does the Obama administration have to say about this? According to Sen. Kyl, Obama will do nothing unless comprehensive immigration reform is passed. With this said, Arizona is now held hostage by the Obama administration to give amnesty to illegal aliens or the border war will continue. This is high treason. Obama is knowingly allowing Americans to be murdered for his own political agenda. The leaders of Arizona need to stand up for themselves. If the federal government refuses help, then Arizona needs to kick the federal government out of their state entirely. Arizona has a right to protect her people and land from invading forces. Arizona has a right to sovereignty and freedom.

by Michael Boldin Introduced in the State Senates of both Colorado and South Dakota last week is a bill known as the “Firearms Freedom Act.” If passed, the bill would make state law that “any firearm, firearm accessory, or ammunition that is manufactured commercially or privately in the state and that remains within the borders of the state is not subject to federal law or federal regulation, including registration, under the authority of Congress to regulate interstate commerce.” This now makes Firearms Freedom Acts already passed in Montana and Tennessee, and currently introduced in these 21 states: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Colorado Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, and Wyoming. According to Gary Marbut of the Montana Shooting Sports Association and author of the original bill that was introduced in Montana, “It’s likely that FFAs will be introduced soon in West Virginia, New Mexico, Idaho, Kansas, Arkansas, Louisiana, North Carolina and maybe elsewhere” South Dakota’s Senate Bill 89 (SB89) was introduced by State Senator Rhoden, and has 22 Senate co-sponsors and 44 House co-sponsors. Colorado’s Senate Bill 092 (SB10-092) was introduced by State Senator Schultheis and has 9 [...]

The Bill of Rights of The Constitution protects your right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness by telling the government what they can’t do. There is one amendment that specifically limits the powers of the federal government over your life. This amendment keeps the federal government confined to the Constitution of the United States. 10th Amendment “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.” Currently, our federal government has overstepped it’s authority in every state, including Colorado. Colorado is a sovereign state and her citizens have a right to a government that respects the supreme rule of law i.e. The Constitution. It’s time for people to demand that any law, mandate, regulation, or code enforced by the federal government but not sanctioned by the Constitution be nullified. Anything less is tyranny. How you can help You can begin by contacting each member of the Colorado General Assembly and demand a sovereignty resolution be passed. There is currently a bill that has been postponed in committee that would do exactly this SJM09-011. Second, you can demand that anyone you [...]

For the first time in 144 years State interposition (Madison) and State nullification and secession (Jefferson) have entered public discourse as remedies to usurpations by the central government of rights reserved to the sovereign people of the States by the Constitution. Since Americans are not in the habit of exercising these policy options, it is worthwhile to ask just what State legislators and governors can do to protect their citizens from usurpations by the central government. First, they can begin by passing resolutions (as a number have done), declaring in no uncertain terms that all powers not delegated to the central government nor prohibited to the States by the Constitution are reserved by them; and that the States themselves have the authority to judge what is reserved and what is delegated–Supreme Court case law notwithstanding. To deny this is to say that the central government can define the limits of its own power which flatly contradicts the Constitution’s language of State delegated and reserved powers. … More (Author: Dr. Donald W. Livingston Source: tenthamendmentcenter.com Date: 08.27.2009)
