I am not sure what drives some Democrats and progressives to violate the Constitution and rule of law, but some will not be happy until all personal liberty and private property is stolen from you and given to the federal government. In a recent effort to protest Colorado Attorney General John Suthers lawsuit against the legality of Obamacare, Colorado House Democrats and others, sent a letter to the attorney demanding that he stop his lawsuit. Obamacare is not even close to being constitutionally legal, and yet some are hellbent on shoving this bill down our throats at all costs. If we live in a Constitutional Republic, then nothing should be allowed to stop this lawsuit. No act of Congress can ever violate or go above the powers delegated by the Constitution. PERIOD! Maybe Coloradans should send a message to the Colorado General Assembly and demand they stop violating the law. Better yet, vote them out this fall for the destruction they have done to personal liberty.

The Bill of Rights of The Constitution protects your right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness by telling the government what they can’t do. There is one amendment that specifically limits the powers of the federal government over your life. This amendment keeps the federal government confined to the Constitution of the United States. 10th Amendment “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.” Currently, our federal government has overstepped it’s authority in every state, including Colorado. Colorado is a sovereign state and her citizens have a right to a government that respects the supreme rule of law i.e. The Constitution. It’s time for people to demand that any law, mandate, regulation, or code enforced by the federal government but not sanctioned by the Constitution be nullified. Anything less is tyranny. How you can help You can begin by contacting each member of the Colorado General Assembly and demand a sovereignty resolution be passed. There is currently a bill that has been postponed in committee that would do exactly this SJM09-011. Second, you can demand that anyone you [...]

A fast-growing FBI data-mining system billed as a tool for hunting terrorists is being used in hacker and domestic criminal investigations, and now contains tens of thousands of records from private corporate databases, including car-rental companies, large hotel chains and at least one national department store, declassified documents obtained by Wired.com show. Headquartered in Crystal City, Virginia, just outside Washington, the FBI’s National Security Branch Analysis Center (NSAC) maintains a hodgepodge of data sets packed with more than 1.5 billion government and private-sector records about citizens and foreigners, the documents show, bringing the government closer than ever to implementing the “Total Information Awareness” system first dreamed up by the Pentagon in the days following the Sept. 11 attacks. Such a system, if successful, would correlate data from scores of different sources to automatically identify terrorists and other threats before they could strike. The FBI is seeking to quadruple the known staff of the program. But the proposal has long been criticized by privacy groups as ineffective and invasive. Critics say the new documents show that the government is proceeding with the plan in private, and without sufficient oversight. “We have a situation where the government is spending fairly large sums [...]

There’s plenty of federal holidays for Americans to celebrate. On July 4th, there’s independence from King George’s England. On the first Monday in September, a holiday was dedicated to the “social and economic achievements of American workers.” Other days throughout the year celebrate autumn harvest, soldiers who died in the civil war and even a person who sailed to this continent nearly three centuries before the country was “founded.” When there’s no federally-sanctioned holiday to call upon, protesters and activists across the political spectrum often pick “important” dates to schedule events to bring attention to their cause. We’ve seen protests on Tax Day, Independence Day, May Day, Earth Day, and more. And, just last week, we saw great importance placed on a day that doesn’t even have a letter in its name, 9/12. But nowhere to be found on these great lists of “federal holidays” or “protest days” is a celebration of the document that defined the principles of liberty that this country was supposedly founded upon – the Constitution. … More (Author: Michael Boldin Source: tenthamendmentcenter.com Date: 09.16.2009)

The President of the United States has no Constitutional authority to speak to school children, or try to influence their education by any means. It is not the President’s job to interfere with education, period!!! Trying to influence children without an objectionable format, where parents can dispute or rebut any remarks made by the president, should be enough to make any parent upset. Tell this usurper he has done enough damage to this country and he doesn’t need to try manipulating your kids too. Better yet, take your kids out of school that day in protest. The President’s constitutional powers are explicit. They include the “executive Power.” They include being “Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States” and a few more listed in the Constitution, including preserving and protecting the Constitution. They do not include addressing schoolchildren. If the President were to live up to his oath to preserve and protect the Constitution, he would request that Congress repeal all its laws regarding education. Section 8 of Article I lists the powers of Congress. Education is not on that list. So when the President addresses schoolchildren, he breaks his oath in several ways. He does [...]
