HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION 10-1009 CONCERNING THE STATE OF COLORADO’S SOVEREIGNTY UNDER THE TENTH AMENDMENT TO THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OVER ALL POWERS NOT GRANTED TO THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AND NOT PROHIBITED TO THE STATES.
by Michael Boldin Introduced in the State Senates of both Colorado and South Dakota last week is a bill known as the “Firearms Freedom Act.” If passed, the bill would make state law that “any firearm, firearm accessory, or ammunition that is manufactured commercially or privately in the state and that remains within the borders of the state is not subject to federal law or federal regulation, including registration, under the authority of Congress to regulate interstate commerce.” This now makes Firearms Freedom Acts already passed in Montana and Tennessee, and currently introduced in these 21 states: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Colorado Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, and Wyoming. According to Gary Marbut of the Montana Shooting Sports Association and author of the original bill that was introduced in Montana, “It’s likely that FFAs will be introduced soon in West Virginia, New Mexico, Idaho, Kansas, Arkansas, Louisiana, North Carolina and maybe elsewhere” South Dakota’s Senate Bill 89 (SB89) was introduced by State Senator Rhoden, and has 22 Senate co-sponsors and 44 House co-sponsors. Colorado’s Senate Bill 092 (SB10-092) was introduced by State Senator Schultheis and has 9 [...]

The Bill of Rights of The Constitution protects your right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness by telling the government what they can’t do. There is one amendment that specifically limits the powers of the federal government over your life. This amendment keeps the federal government confined to the Constitution of the United States. 10th Amendment “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.” Currently, our federal government has overstepped it’s authority in every state, including Colorado. Colorado is a sovereign state and her citizens have a right to a government that respects the supreme rule of law i.e. The Constitution. It’s time for people to demand that any law, mandate, regulation, or code enforced by the federal government but not sanctioned by the Constitution be nullified. Anything less is tyranny. How you can help You can begin by contacting each member of the Colorado General Assembly and demand a sovereignty resolution be passed. There is currently a bill that has been postponed in committee that would do exactly this SJM09-011. Second, you can demand that anyone you [...]

The Tenth Amendment of the Bill of Rights reads: “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.” This means that the federal government does not have any more power or jurisdiction than that mentioned in the Constitution. All other powers remain in the hands of the people and the states. Currently, our federal government is in direct violation of their constitutional authority. The Constitution and the Bill of Rights are the supreme rule of law of this country, and our leaders need to be reminded this. It is the duty of free people to remind our state representatives to protect the rights of all citizens and defend against any federal tyranny. The violations include, but are not limited to: Freedom of speech Right to jury trial Right to be innocent until proven guilty Right to bear arms Posse Comitatus Habeas Corpus Illegal search and seizure of private property Illegal wars without a Congressional declaration Illegal bailouts of selected corporations Illegal takeovers of selected corporations Illegal wiretapping of American Citizens Taxation without representation Allowing a fiat currency and defrauding the public [...]

The 10th Amendment of the US Constitution states: “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.” What does this mean? It is actually very simple. If the Constitution does not grant the authority for the federal government to do something, then that power is left to the state, or to the people to decide. Did you know that most of the federal laws and regulations that we have today actually violate the 10th amendment of the Constitution. The federal government can not violate contract law. The federal government can not give power to a private banking cartel to print fiat currency. The federal government can not buy or own shares of private business. The list of violations are endless. Well, the time to stop this abuse of power is now. Please contact your state representatives and ask them to support and enforce state sovereignty. There is one website in particular that I would like to recommend; TenthAmendmentCenter.com , they are solely dedicated to this one issue. Additional talking points can be found here. http://www.tenthamendmentcenter.com/tenth-amendment-talking-points/

We would like to thank Rep. Doug Lamborn for doing so. The list below shows the remaining 6 representatives of Congress that have not yet signed on. This is not a Republican or Democratic issue. If your congressman is listed below we ask that you please contact them and urge their support of this bill. Rep. DeGette [D-CO] Rep. Polis [D-CO] Rep. Salazar [D-CO] Rep. Markey [D-CO] Rep. Coffman [R-CO] Rep. Perlmutter [D-CO] You can also use this web site to contact them.

Over 5000 concerned citizens from across Colorado gathered at the steps of the State Capital this afternoon. They gathered to send a loud and clear message to Washington DC. STOP SPENDING AND WASTING OUR TAXPAYER DOLLARS AND STOP INCREASING THE SIZE OF GOVERNMENT. Libertarians, Conservatives, Constitutionalists, Independents, and moderate Democrats all showed at this the second rally this year. I was at the both rallies and I was very impressed at the turnout today. I feel better knowing more people are starting to stand up for their liberties and tell their government NO MORE! When I got home I happened to turn on CNN and listed to someone covering a news story at another rally. The reporter had an absurd question that mentioned that 95% of Americans are getting a tax cut this year. What the reporter failed to mention was the trillion plus we have to go in debt under the Obama plan. It also didn’t account for the inflation tax we will soon see with all our commodities. I am personally frustrated with biased news reporting which doesn’t account with how people really feel about policies. Thank goodness for the Internet where I can access millions of articles, [...]
