Thanks to an excellent source of campaign finance data, OpenSecrets.org, I would like to show that Rep. Diana Degette’s sponsored legislation shows a strong tendency toward health care related bills. Maybe its a coincidence that her major campaign contributors are from the health care industry. Rep Degette, this is a disgraceful approach to politics. It shows that you favor your contributors over your own constituents. I feel bad for the people you represent in your district. They must have a hard time getting you to recognize other important issues; like the collapsing of our financial markets, or the 10 percent unemployment rate. Nah, those things shouldn’t bother you. As long as big pharma and big health care can push out all competition and feed your campaign you will be satisfied, right? I heard that you block people outside your district from contacting you from your site. Are you not a pubic servant representing Colorado? How dare you keep people from expressing their concerns. I hope the people of your district wake up for the 2010 election. Make sure you tell them you represent big pharma and big health care, not the people.
